Privacy Policy
Guarantee
Effective 28 October 2026
In short: Guarantee does not collect, receive or share any personal data. Your items, receipts and letters stay on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage, which I cannot access. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
Who I am
Guarantee is made by Georgios Zacharidis (GZVS), Thessaloniki, Greece. For any privacy question, write to gzvsDev@icloud.com.
Your items and receipts
- The items you add, with their receipt photos, PDFs, label photos and notes, are stored on your iPhone.
- If you're signed in to iCloud, they are also synced through your private iCloud database, so they appear on your other devices. Apple stores this under your Apple Account and the Apple Privacy Policy; the developer has no access to it.
- Receipts are kept as the picture or PDF you add. Nothing is uploaded to me or to any server of mine.
Camera and photos
- The camera is used only when you choose to scan a receipt.
- When you pick an existing photo, Apple's photo picker shows Guarantee only the photo you choose, not the rest of your library.
Your name and address
If you add your name, address, email or phone in Settings, they are kept on your iPhone and printed only on the claim letters you create.
Claim letters and email
When you email a claim, Guarantee opens Apple's Mail with the letter and your receipt attached. You review and send it yourself, from your own email account, directly to the shop. Sharing a letter as a PDF hands it to the app you choose, and that app's privacy policy applies from then on.
Purchases
Guarantee Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; I never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. To remember that you have Pro, the app keeps a small marker on your iPhone (in the iOS keychain). It never leaves your device.
Reminders
Expiry reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No push service of mine is involved.
What I don't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, crash reporting SDKs, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- No cookies, no servers of my own and no third-party SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of data. There is no data to sell or share.
Children
Guarantee is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights and deleting your data
Because I hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for me to access, correct or delete. You control everything: delete an item in the app and it is removed from your iPhone and your iCloud. To remove everything at once, open the app and choose Settings › Delete all my data: it deletes your items, receipts and photos from your iPhone and from your iCloud, together with your details and settings. Uninstalling the app on its own removes only what is on your iPhone; the iCloud copy stays until you delete it in the app. If you have a question or a request under the GDPR or any other privacy law, email gzvsDev@icloud.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
